Hello all and welcome to the Weather Centre Blog, my name is David and I am a Meteorologist here at the Isle of Wight Weather Centre.
We have started this Blog to give you all a "behind the scenes" type look in to what we do here at the Weather Centre. There will be lots of news, information and interesting facts that you wouldn't normally find on the site. For example, do you want to know how we Track Santa on Christmas Eve? Or do you want to know who the pretty voice belongs to when you call the Weather Centre? Well if you do you are in the right place, keep coming back for interviews, technical talk and even what we get up to on a Saturday night.
I'm on holiday next week snowboarding in Finland (will add pictures and video at some point) So Paul from the Centre For Severe Weather Research On The Isle Of Wight will be popping in to make sure everything is running smoothly.

As a frequent and future visitor to the Island, usually off season, I guess I have a vested interest in your work.
